Gender-Affirming Infant Feeding

This course explores the role that socio-ecological factors play in trans, Two-Spirit and non-binary (TTNB) families' infant feeding decisions. It invites learners to use a flowchart to identify relevant infant feeding options and presents a roadmap framework as a practical approach to having informed infant feeding discussions.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

  1. Describe the role that socio-ecological factors play in infant feeding decisions
  2. Utilize the infant feeding flowchart to identify relevant infant feeding options based on TTNB families' context, preferences and goals
  3. Apply the Infant Feeding Roadmap framework as a practical approach to having informed infant feeding discussions
  4. Identify the key points in time to have or return to infant feeding discussions.
  5. Navigate infant feeding resources in Trans Care BC's library of resources to support TTNB families with infant feeding
